Meals Heal

Sharing a meal provides a natural setting for conversation, building relationships, and fostering trust with others. We learn in the Bible that sharing a meal together is one of the primary ways relationships are established, deepened, and enjoyed both with God and with others.

MEALS HEAL is a new program launched under WomanGU to fill the need for community and Sisterhood for women of diverse backgrounds and social locations.  Sharing a meal provides a natural setting for conversation, building relationships, and fostering trust with others. We learn in the Bible that sharing a meal together is one of the primary ways relationships are established, deepened, and enjoyed both with God and with others.  Regularly we find Jesus reclining “at table” during His earthly ministry engaging with real people, furthering His Kingdom work, fostering true community, demonstrating reconciliation with God, and building genuine fellowship among His disciples.

Mission Statement

MEALS HEAL provides a nurturing space for women navigating life-altering transitions—such as divorce or the loss of a loved one—by fostering connection, healing, and personal growth. Through shared meals and meaningful conversations, we empower women to rebuild their confidence, cultivate resilience, and embrace a future of renewed purpose, in alignment with WomanGU’s mission of building women as leaders.

Vision Statement

To build a transformative space for women to heal from life’s traumatic changes, fostering leadership, personal growth, and empowerment through the power of community and shared experiences. Through MEALS HEAL, we envision a future where every woman who has faced loss or hardship finds strength, compassion, and the tools to lead with integrity and confidence in every area of her life.

Heavenly Father,

We come before You with grateful hearts, gathered in the spirit of love, healing, and restoration. Thank You for the gift of community, for the strength we find in one another, and for the nourishment—both physical and spiritual—that You provide.

Lord, we lift up every woman here, each carrying her own burdens of loss, pain, and change. Wrap them in Your comfort, fill their hearts with peace, and remind them that they are never alone. May this table be a place of healing, laughter, and renewed hope. Let every meal we share be seasoned with grace, every conversation be filled with encouragement, and every moment together bring us closer to the wholeness You desire for us.

Help us, Lord, to walk with DISCIPLINE in our healing, INTEGRITY in our journey, and GROWTH in our purpose. As we break bread together, may we also break chains of sorrow, fear, and doubt, stepping boldly into the future You have prepared for us.

Bless this food, this fellowship, and this mission, that through MEALS HEAL, we may uplift one another and rise as strong, courageous women, ready to lead and serve in Your name. AMEN.

Leadership Attributes

Become a Leader

A genuine leader is not a searcher for consensus but a molder of consensus,” Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. says.
This quote points to not just the powerful traits of persuasiveness and communication that a leader must have, but also to the importance of teamwork and compromise.
